POST FALLS, IDAHO – July 12, 2007 – After weeks of leading laps in the Road Runner main events but never winning, Scott Murphy broke the streak leading from the pole to win his first main event of the season during Wednesday Night Fever’s Mid Season Championships at Stateline Speedway.

Murphy held off a fast closing Roman Gibson and Russell Syverson to take the 20-lap event. Murphy also won the B Heat and Dash. Dave Hatton and Heath Denson rounded out the top five.

Syverson’s third place run in the main event secured the top spot in points for the Road Runners, nearly 100-points ahead of second place driver Dave Hatton.

Tom Plybon picked up win number six for the Plybon, Andy Brown driving team in the Fever 4’s overtaking 2006 champion KC Garber for the victory. Plybon also won the B Dash and continues to lead the point standings at the half way mark over John Vallone.

Rusty Webb set fast time for the division. Mel Auckerman won the fast dash. Vallone and Jason O’Neal won heats.

Robby Cartwright driving the “Tiggerator” nudged past Aaron Clother to drive away with the 20-lap Bump to Pass main event victory. The main event win was Cartwright’s first of the season. Vern Dorsey finished second followed by John Hollingsworth and Yvonne Lifsey. Bob Willis and Clother won heats.

Darryl Carillio in the “Crazy Taxi” won the dash but failed to finish the main event suffering mechanical problems after contact with other cars. At mid season, Lifsey and Dorsey are tied for the first spot in the standings.
